fury of failure

Fury of failure
Is dark, deadly
Often cunning
And often poisoning
Beware of those
Who are indulged in it,
Judge every word
Before you believe it.

They are hard to be identified
Their fury may be well hidden
It may have some rhyme or reason
Or it may have none
They may just be jealous, furious of
every thing good that’s not theirs
Or they may be jealous
Of every good thing in the world.

They may be jealous and spiteful
Trying to choke every nightingale
Because they themselves cant sing,
Trying to pull down every artifact
For their fingers are numb
They know only one thing
Destroy the thing of beauty
For you can never possess it.

Then they may be jealous and sweet
They will slither to your arm
Then they will poison your charm
By discouraging words, by changed tracks
Then smile and walk away
While you are left behind sans charm
Wisdom tells it again and again
Don’t give up your dreams for others.

sun

No matter how much you pray
No matter how much you try
How much you plead, beg, and curse
You can’t bring down the sun from sky.

Your hatred for that celestial being
is useless, worthless and funny
it will only hurt you, disappoint you
when you will see the day is still sunny.

Sun can’t be pulled down
Try to realize this truth
You don’t have the power to move
Even a small pebble without fate.

It’s no use yearning, hating or cursing
It will shine in its glory
And if it falls down from there
You too will not be around to see.

snow white

Snow white was a little princess
Who lost her mother as a baby
His father married another woman
Thinking she would mother his baby.

She turned out to be a witch
Who was obsessed with her own self
When she saw that her step daughter
Was pure and beautiful like an angel
She became blind with envy and rage.

She called her accomplice and ordered
The little princess had to be killed
The accomplice took her to the forest
Had pity on her, spared her,
In place of her a rabbit was killed.

The queen was not very sure about him
So she sent her seven ghouls
To see what he does with the princess
When they saw that the princess was unharmed
They faked as her friends and took her in.

They kept her there instead of telling the king
The queen came there in disguise
Fed her a poisonous apple, the poor child died
The evil woman returned to her palace
Gloating with happiness and pride.

Fate had some other plans
It made a prince pass by the hut
He saved the princess, married her
Together they came to meet the queen
You should have seen the look on her face.

Cinderella

Sweet Cinderella, pretty girl
never saw her mother at all
her father too passed away
when she was just a tiny girl.

Being brought up by step mom
Whom she thought her real mom
Surviving on her leftovers
Thrown at her by three of them.

After toiling for all day
She was made to sleep in stable
While her step mother and sisters
Slumbered in plush, soft beds.

One night a traveler knocked their door
Seeing his torn and tattered dress
He was at first shown the door
Then when he begged, offered money.

He was allowed to sleep in barn
He saw Cinderella working in the yard
And came silently to her
Asked her for something to eat.

She shared her dinner with him
Hearing her kind words, seeing her beauty
He asked her if she will marry him
She asked to take the permission of her mom.

When he asked her for Cinderella’s hand
He heard the most horrible stories about her
Her mother and sisters vowed again and again
She was the vilest, meanest creature.

The traveler went away, left behind Cinderella
Sad, miserable, broken hearted
For she has lost her heart to him
The only person who has been kind to her.

Next morning a golden chariot stopped at gate
A well dressed prince came down from that
The trio ran for him to greet him
But he brushed them away and asked for Cinderella.

Poisonous friendship

King’s daughter had a lovely companion
a dazzling beauty beyond comparison
the princess had a charming soul
hidden inside a ordinary frame, a jewel.

The gorgeous moon and humble diya
showered the king’s palace with light.
They were as if answers to one another
one was body the other one the soul.

Chand was the doe eye, diya vision.
Chand the dance of fairy, diya song.
Everyone in palace and surrounding
blessed this marvellous union endlessly.

One day a neighbouring prince came
to visit the king, as they were strolling
in the garden the prince heard the most
enchanting melody, simmering in moonshine.

The king answered his query about the singer.
The prince became mesmerized and lingered
there for long, hoping for a glimpse of the singer
but shy diya never became visible to him.

She thought the prince was too handsome for her,
Chand also saw him and got smitten by him.
She tiptoed to his rooms while he was resting.
He got mesmerized by her dazzling beauty.

When he asked her who she was she lied
she told him she was the princess and the singer
she left him after completely stealing his heart
the poor lover passed a sleepless night tossing in bed.

The next morning he asked the king for his daughter.
The king happily agreed to wed her away to him.
The marriage happened very fast, Chand was sad,
but could not dare to open her mouth, scared for life.

The bride was in veil as was the custom in kingdom
the veil to be removed from her face after reaching home
till then not even her prince could see her face
he was allowed to see her only after entering his home.

Chand was ofcourse her only companion to her new home
In the way she poisoned her trusting friend and took her place
because she knew no one will recognize her here
no one will come from diya’s kingdom, hundreds of miles away.

She already had the prince’s heart and his blind faith!!

Jealousy

A tiny bird was singing sweet
in a shrub full of dark shade
a cool wind was blowing
every one was spellbound.

A little sparrow could no longer take
all the attention which the bird had
it started to chatter in a burst of fury
so loudly that it disturbed the strain.

The tiny bird knowing her mood
fell silent after singing for a while
her friend asked her why did she stopped
she sings better and all know that.

The bird told her friend.. reason knows
but jealousy never knows the reason
playing with jealousy only ruins the beauty,
better step down with grace when you face it.

Green eyed monster

Don’t give in to the beauty
of tempting green eyes
it will lure you to its dark pit
you wont get away from it.

It will poison your mind, soul
steal your smiles and peace
poison your very breath
drag you deeper in its den.

Where envy will turn in hate
jealousy in desire to destroy.
In place of teaching you to
transform yourself into a flower

It will teach you to pluck it, crush it
destroy it, and your very soul with it.
The monster hiding within you
will slowly turn you in himself.
