Another idol falls
Proving the truth
He is only human
Not an angel or saint.
They gather all around him
To mock, taunt and jeer
Hyenas and vultures
Waiting for his end to come.
Forgetting in their arrogance
Human beings stumble
And to stumble one has to walk
Those who do nothing, never fail.
The idol will rise up again
Walk tall and in firm steps
All he will have to do is
Brush off the dust from his dress.
wild wind blows free

I love this part. SO TRUE!
Beautiful as always. I especially loved *to stumble one has to walk
Those who do nothing, never fail.*
great writing
I like the hint of reality and hint of optimism in this one! Keep it up!
thanks renee. i usually look at idols with one eye of respect and the other of compassion so i never taunt them when they fall.
thanks D. We too easily forget this golden truth.
