A sleepy river lying
Calmly in the lap
Of green mountains
Majestic and charming.
Logs and rocks scattered
All across her body
As she lays supine
Staring at the sky above.
Two small birds are singing
Softly in a haunting tone
One from each bank
Calling out to the other.
Are they singing a love song?
Or are they singing for river
Asking her to break free
And dance down the mountains?
wild wind blows free
